RIMOWA celebrates this holiday season with the launch of a campaign honouring the strength of our most enduring of relationships. Titled ‘Gifts for the Journey Ahead’, the campaign features a series of vignettes showcasing RIMOWA as a symbolic gift that goes beyond its renowned resilience.
For the past year, during our collective periods of isolation, we’ve dreamed of taking to the road. Showcased in a series of episodes, the holiday campaign explores the feeling of intimate gratitude towards those we love the most and simultaneously the excitement of hitting the open road again in anticipation of all that is still to come.
Directed by LA-based Spanish filmmaker Santos Bacana, the campaign unfolds across a series of eight shorts in which distinct gifting stories highlight how RIMOWA and the memories it helps to create can strengthen the bonds of our most cherished relationships. An anthem film visually weaves the individual videos together for a message that celebrates this exchange as a kind of rite of passage, a moment in which relationships becomes forever deepened, a thoughtful gift of a future yet to unfold.
The integrated global campaign will run across paid and owned digital channels. Additional lifestyle photography and exclusive social content can be seen on RIMOWA’s Facebook, Instagram, and WeChat. Retail displays and activations add an in-store element to the festive shopping and gifting experience.
Highlighted across the campaign are products from the brand’s holiday gift guide including new arrivals like the Classic Cabin in Black alongside brand favourites like the Groove iPhone Case, Eyewear, the Essential in Desert Rose and Cactus, and customised Classic cases from RIMOWA’s customisation and personalisation service RIMOWA UNIQUE.
