Times Square Center, our city’s favorite community destination introduces Picnic Square, an experiential hub that caters to those who expect more than just a traditional ‘mall-food-court’ experience.
With a mindful sustainability approach, Picnic Square offers a variety of healthy dining options and seating areas, set within a distinct interior, that embraces a warm and engaging ambience.
Set as the heart of Times Square Center, it incorporates stylish, new functional dining areas, greenery-filled open spaces, and a children’s play area. It’s artisanal, deli-style restaurants and cafes blend perfectly with the contrasting accents of the interior design.
It’s a place where business owners can meet, colleagues can gather, youngsters can create social media content and families can dine healthy, whilst kids enjoy the play areas.
With the capacity to entertain 350 people, Picnic Square is fast becoming an essential space to host public events, talks and shows.
Whilst little ones engage in sustainable activities such as plant potting and recycling workshops, other visitors can enjoy the weekend markets and explore concepts such as “Baby Eats” the first baby and toddler meal plan concept in the UAE, and female-owned brands like “Eggs & Soldiers”, “StuDIYo Lab” and “Naya Yoga & Pilates Studio”.
Nancy Ozbek, General Manager at Time Square Center commented, “We have been strategically executing our transformation into a community destination over the past two years and Picnic Square was the pinnacle of our goal. Watching it come together is extremely rewarding and we are excited to welcome our visitors to this new destination. Our mission is to become a place for all whether young or old, families or entrepreneurs, children or couples, and Picnic Square is a beautiful reflection of that. It is also a medium to further push our agenda in supporting local female-owned brands to reach success“.
With a continual conscience approach to being eco-friendly, Times Square Center chose ‘Summertown Interiors’ to oversee the key sustainability features of Picnic Square, which secured LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.
