Lush, known universally as ‘that soap shop’, invites mall visitors and shoppers to step into Lush stores for a free hand wash, in a move to highlight the importance of washing hands with soap to halt the spread of infection.
With an ongoing effort to safeguard public health amidst the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, Lush encourages customers to wash their hands as often as possible. Shops across the region will provide their soaps and water as a free service.
Over the years, the brand has consistently promoted hand-washing with bar soap, as it has been proven to be a vital aspect to achieving good personal hygiene. Moreover, Lush believes that bar soaps are ultimately better for the environment than liquid handwash presented in unrecyclable plastic pumps.
The UK-based ethical cosmetics brand has also made the decision to pull all potted communal testers within stores until further notice. When requested, staff will be able to pick or create samples for shoppers to try in the comfort of their own home. Additionally, when purchasing soaps through the Lush website, customers can expect a swift delivery in two days.
Lush encourages consumers to remain vigilant, take the advised precautions from health officials and authority, and observe hand-washing as a regular practice. It is key for people to understand the full, effective routine of washing to maximise the removal of germs and prevent the spread of disease.
