Young visitors to Mall of the Emirates can now indulge their passions for style, performance, and creativity all at once as they immerse themselves in an unmissable ‘summer camp’ of theatre, art, and dance workshops as part of Dubai Summer Surprises.
Launched in the spirit of new beginnings at Mall of the Emirates, where we are all back to a new, more exciting and well anticipated normal since the easing of the lockdown — and to coincide with the schools’ summer break — the workshops will complement an array of generous promotions all available until August 29.
Located at The Theatre — the mall’s dedicated entertainment space — the “New Beginnings” summer camp offers kids a space to develop self-confidence, self-discipline, individuality, and creativity while making friends along the way.
Dubai Performing Arts will host workshops on singing, dancing, and acting, while Dubai-based actress Emma Quintin will unlock kids’ imaginations as they learn to bring stories to life through storytelling sessions. For budding young ballet stars, the National Ballet Studio will spark their interest with an introduction to classical, contemporary, and repertoire techniques.
Art with Michael’seco-friendly workshops will teach participants how to create an assortment of crafts using only natural and recycled material, complemented by daily arts and crafts classes lead by professional instructors, also found at The Theatre.
Finally, when kids and parents reunite after a long day of shopping and creativity, a schedule of musical theatre shows held at The Theatre offer a much-needed interlude, with shows such as Aladdin, Shrek, and Alice in Wonderland scheduled to pique the entire family’s interest.
