Glowing pumpkins, slimy handprints and other spooky sights will be taking over City Centre Me’aisem this month for a 12-day Halloween celebration between October 22 and November 2. With a wide variety of events happening daily, children can embrace the Halloween spirit as parents browse the mall’s diverse retail offering.
Alongside a programme of immersive workshops, visitors have multiple opportunities to dust off their favourite Halloween costume and get in the spirit of the season.
As part of the celebrations, City Centre Me’aisem, will hold the UAE’s first Halloween Fun Run bright and early at 7:30 am on 2 November in the parking of the mall. Hosted by radio personality Kris Fade, the event is set to be a lively and playful experience where kids will be challenged to complete as many laps of the parking lot as possible within an hour. Winners prizes include three major cash and retail vouchers, while all participants will receive a certificate, medal, refreshments and goodie bags from Carrefour.
Meanwhile, radio celebrity Magic Phil will preside over a costume competition that invites kids to dust off their witch hats and skeleton suits for the chance to win prizes including an iPad, PlayStation, and Xbox. True to his name, the entertainer will also enthral visitors with his Halloween and magic-inspired shows during five days of the celebration.
Throughout the 12 days, kids can step into a dedicated activation space and find themselves immersed in the mysterious, otherworldly elements of Halloween. In various workshops they can make their own Halloween keepsakes such as gooey slime and pumpkin-shaped purses. Curiosity and marvel will surely spark as children also wonder what’s bubbling at the Mad Science shows.
As the celebration draws to a close, kids can then satisfy their sweet tooth as they’re presented with a Halloween basket on entering the mall, to trick or treat while strolling from one retailer to another.
All parents need to do to get access to all these workshops and events is spend AED200 at stores including Carrefour and AED100 at stores excluding Carrefour.
