Eggs & Soldiers Opens Santa’s Post Office For Business, Where UAE Families Are Invited To Post Their Christmas Wishes And Be Filled With Festive Spirit

With a surge in numbers of families staying put in the UAE this Christmas due to travel restrictions caused by the ongoing pandemic, Eggs & Soldiers thought that if ever there was a year to go BIG on festive spirit – this is it.

Which is why the eco-conscious parenting retailer has sprinkled plenty of Christmas magic into its Times Square Centre store, highlighted by a custom-made ‘Santa’s Post Office – offering the UAE’s children a place to send their wishes, lists and secret notes off to the North Pole.

From now until the end of December, children can stop by Eggs & Soldiers – located on the ground floor of Times Square Centre, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai – with their letters, and post them to Santa via its beautiful wooden post office, with no postage fee required!

To add to the excitement, parents can leave their details when sending letters before December 18th, and their children will receive a handwritten reply from Santa himself… which will arrive for collection at the store in good time for Christmas.

“We’ve been talking to a lot of parents in the wider Eggs & Soldiers community who would usually be travelling to be with family overseas this festive season, and are naturally feeling a little downhearted if that’s not happening as planned,” explains Eggs & Soldiers founder and mother-of-four,” Sofi Chabowski.

“That actually inspired me to really ramp up the ‘X'(mas) factor at Eggs & Soldiers, which we hope can spread a little sparkle and light up some little faces this year.”

In fact, Sofi is so devoted to spreading the joy, while sticking to the Eggs & Soldiers ethos of minimising waste and promoting sustainability, that she personally created most of the large decorative pieces on display at her store, which have been lovingly-crafted from wood and painted by hand. These include a huge sleigh drawn by reindeers, an ‘offcut’ Christmas tree and Santa’s Post Office, complete with sorting office.

Eggs & Soldiers also offers Santa gift sacks, priced from AED 95 and hampers, priced from AED 120, which can be embroidered with names or personal messages on site.

With more than 100 bespoke brands stocked at Eggs & Soldiers and online at Eggsnsoldiers.com, which have been cherry-picked by Sofi for their commitment to ethically-sourced and eco-focused products, there are also plenty of gift options for babies, children and parents.

The 4,000 square feet treasure trove is divided into sections dedicated to the key areas of parenting, with an extensive collection of the world’s safest strollers and car seats, furniture and play equipment, cloth diapers, baby carriers, feeding and sleeping accessories, clothing and toys.

Eggs & Soldiers’ collection of natural and traditional toys do not include electronics, and are largely inspired by open-ended play: the notion that a toy should be as non-descript and ambiguous as possible, allowing a child to follow their own thoughts and imagination.

Brands stocked at Eggs & Soldiers are an eclectic mix of international, local and family-run natural toymakers, and include Grimms, Plan Toys, Papoose, Wishbone Design, Scratch Europe, Vilac, Olli Ella, Q Toys, Way to Play and Wobbel.

New launch products which have landed in time for Christmas 2020 include life-size wooden ponies and rocking horses from German brand Helgakreft, traditional Banwood bikes, plus folding Pikler triangles, arches and learning towers made by Irish family-run business, Sawdust & Rainbows.
