The highly anticipated AstroLab returns with AstroLab V.2, offering a bigger and more dynamic back-to-school experience from 16 August to 1 September 2024. Children will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a world of creativity and discovery through hands-on workshops, exciting STEM shows, and interactive activities that bring the magic of science to life.
This summer, families also have a chance to win the ModeshScholarship.Shoppers at participating outlets in Ibn Battuta Mall, Circle Mall, Discovery Garden Pavilion, Al Furjan West Pavilion, Al Furjan Pavilion, Jumeirah Park East Pavilion, Jumeirah Park Pavilion and International City Pavilion will be eligible to enter the draw for this exciting opportunity from 5 to 29 August.
AstroLab V.2 at Ibn Battuta Mall
AstroLab V.2 is set to transform the Egypt Mini Court at Ibn Battuta Mall into a hub of discovery and excitement from 16 August to 1 September. This activation promises an collection of captivating activities for all ages, where children can immerse themselves in fun and educational hands-on workshops.
While parents shop, kids can explore their creativity with activities like solar system bracelet making, educational app sessions, glow lantern crafting, and space-themed wind chime workshops. Each child will receive a certificate of participation upon completing the workshops, adding a rewarding element to their learning experience.
Families won’t want to miss the exciting science show, where actors dressed as famous scientists bring historical and scientific lessons to life every weekend.For those seeking even more adventure, “Journey Through the Planets” offers an interactive experience for all participants.
Shops at Ibn Battuta Mall will also be laying out the red carpet for families during the back-to-school season. ZGAMES will set up a thrilling PlayStation and arcade zone, along with a live PC teaching session, while Flying Tiger will showcase educational activities for families to take part in, with tote bags for all participants, back-to-school supplies and run fun social media competitions during this period.
R&B is set to host a fun Virtual Reality activity for the little ones, with Jumeirah International Nurseries hosting daily workshops for children and their families from 2 pm to 7 pm.KidzPalooza is also ready to keep the little ones entertained with a range of activities, including face painting, origami workshops and arts and crafts sessions.
Brands For Less, Jumeirah International Nurseries, Flying Tiger, BBZ and Sky Zone Trampoline Park will also be giving away vouchers with every purchase.
“AstroLab V.2” will take place at the Egypt Mini Court in Ibn Batutta Mall from 16 August to 1 September, 2 pm to 10 pm every day.
Science show will take place at Ibn Battuta Mall from 17 to 31 August, 5 pm to 8pm, every weekend.

From August 5 to 29, shoppers who spend AED 200 or more at any of the participating malls- including Ibn Battuta Mall, Circle Mall, Discovery Garden Pavilion, Al Furjan West Pavilion, Al Furjan Pavilion, Jumeirah Park East Pavilion, Jumeirah Park Pavilion, and International City Pavilion-will have the exciting opportunity to enter a draw for a chance to win a scholarship. This year, a total of 25 fortunate winners will receive these scholarships.
To join in the excitement, customers at Ibn Battuta Mall and Circle Mall must present their shopping receipts and register at the nearest Customer Service Desk. At any of the participating Pavilions, shoppers can register with the Modesh Scholarship promoter at the designated area.
The “Modesh Scholarship” campaign will run across all participating outlets from 5 to 29 August, during operational hours at both Ibn Battuta Mall and Circle Mall, and 2pm to 10pm at Pavilions.
