Thrift For Good is one of the region’s favourite charity thrift stores, loved by residents across the city. This IACAD approved initiative launched in February 2020 by Founder, Jen Sault who, after years of passionately raising funds for children around the world, through Gulf for Good, saw a gap in the market to merge the ever-evolving world of fashion and desperate need for sustainability with charity.
Thrift For Good’s mission is to ‘Rehome preloved items to reduce waste and help children around the world’. Thrift For Good has a stunning retail space, located in the Galleria Mall 8, Palm Jumeriah, as well as a chic online store, https://thriftforgood.orgwhere a selection of donated high street and designer clothing is sold to the public, with 100% of the profits being donated to international children’s charities, in partnership with Gulf for Good.
Thrift For Good also organises monthly recuring events such as the Palm Pop Ups where it hosts over 25 small and local businesses, allowing them to sell products, with the objective being to drive footfall and raise as much money for charity as possible. The next Palm Pop Up will be Friday, 17th September with the theme being Secondhand September, where brands will be selling a selection of second hand or upcycled items that will include upcycled luxury jewellery and upcycled furniture. A large percentage of the proceeds will go to Thrift For Good’s chosen charities.
The 17th September’s Pop Up, Secondhand September will be open to the public from 12pm- 8pmand is the perfect way to indulge in a little shopping while doing your charitable part in helping the children of the world.
