This October, The Outlet Village, Dubai’s indoor shopping and leisure destination by Meraas, will kick off the new season with the launch of its Style Station, an interactive venue that hosts four weekends of fashion, beauty, interior design, food, fitness and health workshops and masterclasses.
From 4 to 31 October, Style Station, located at Piazza del Popolo, will bring The Outlet Village to life and offer shoppers a virtual style pod, a stylised display at the Fashion Incubator section, and a creative crafts area for children.
Fashion stylist Mandy Kingsbury will share the latest trends and tips for the autumn season during her styling sessions at the Style Station. The stylist will also showcase the top pieces for the upcoming season from some of The Outlet Village retailers including Elizabetta Franchi, Fred Perry, Pinko, Dunhill, The Deal, Armani Exchange, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, La Martina, Diesel and Adidas. High-end brands will take over the Fashion Incubators – embedded fashion installations at the Station – to showcase their AW18 collections.
The Style Station will also offer an innovative shopping experience with its virtual style pod that allows visitors to virtually try on 20 outfits from the destination’s retailers using 3D body mapping and augmented reality technology. Participating outlets will include Lanvin, Rodeo Drive, Kate Spade, Sacoor Brothers and Hugo Boss.
Chefs from Hikina and Ari, two signature restaurants within Lapita, Dubai Parks and Resorts, Autograph Collection Hotels, specializing in Mediterranean and Asian cuisines will conduct cooking demonstrations at the style station. Chef Aditya Bisht heads up Ari; the resorts Mediterranean pool bar restaurant known for its fresh menu and enticing cocktail selection. Chef Azlee Zainon, Executive Sous Chef of Lapita in charge of Hikina, the resort’s pan-Asian outlet is dedicated to showcasing the flavours and combinations of this popular cuisine.
Aati Essentials, the luxury contemporary furniture and home accessories retailer, will introduce shoppers to the basic dos and don’ts of decorating a home like a pro.
Children can express their creativity at the fashion craft zone, where they will learn how to make their own dolls, complete with clothes, accessories and jewellery.
The destination will feature an indoor fitness zone with a kids’ sports boot camp, led by certified fitness trainers.
